» History:
Payton didn't have the easiest time growing up. His mom was (and still is) very strict, and always drilled her ways into him. Payton's mother is a police officer, and often brought him with her despite the danger. This made him more exposed to grown up violence and words at a younger age than usual, and he knew about bad things. He was also brought to shooting practice to watch his mother shoot. He was a fast learner, and hit a target (not even close to bulls eye, but he hit it) at the age of 10. He was schooled by his mother when they went off to her job together, and she taught him... differently from other home schooled students. He learned how to resist things like pepper spray, and take down big guys, and all that jazz. Be basically went to police school with her. At the age of 13, he became sick of all the police drills and antics his mother put him through. While she was a good mother, she was rather, 'forceful'. But, she decided to send him to public school for freshman year. He got in all sorts of trouble, and took after his wild mother. But along the line, he became corrupted by some ther students who were gambling behind the school. He became addicted to gambling, and went to the casino. He wasn't allowed at a young age of course, but he always snuck in. He was the bees knees in these games, learning the nervous ticks people give during gambling. He was basically a lie detector because of police training, and knew what was up. He was doing extra well one day, until his attention was caught by a certain man. Payton had gotten cocky from his previous victories, and challenged the him. He was surrounded by women, and was supposedly the best player here. They had a simple game of poker, and while it was closer than most people got Payton still lost. He sill had lots of fun, and began talking to the man, who seemed to be the leader of the gamblers. He was introduced to a boy named dean, who was next in line of the gamblers. Since then, he wanted to join them. Of course, he was usually refused, but he was accepted on his 15th birthday. Boy, was he exited. He vowed his loyalty to them, finally out of the good boy life he had from his mom. (Of course, she doesn't know about any of this despite being an ace cop. Probably because she has a lot of jobs as a police officer and doesn't notice.)
